Born at Cape Cod Hospital, Bill O’Neill grew up in Centerville and got his start in the communications industry delivering the Cape Cod Times on his bicycle. He was the lifestyle editor at the Cape Cod Times for almost 10 years. As a freelancer, he writes about healthcare and pop music and writes grant proposals for local nonprofits. He lives in Yarmouthport with Tracy (a marketing copywriter), Max (a tween) and Clementine (a cat) and enjoys biking, hiking and kayaking.
Over 75 people attended the recent Orleans Citizens Forum, which took a closer look at the status of medical treatment and care for all Cape Codders. A leadership panel from Cape Cod Healthcare included President and CEO Mike Lauf, Chief Medical Officer Donald A. Guadagnoli, MD, and cardiologist Elissa Thompson, MD, who together presented the state of medical services and treatment here on the Cape and explained what is yet to come.
